My favorite senior corps and favorite show from them. I remember beiing at the Dream in '72 when they won and got an all time record score that day of 92.250!! My drum instructor was in the snareline at that time, so i was in on all the action. It was as I remember a very hot day. And I also remember the corps coming off the field after their amazing performance with smiles on every face. They new they won it. Great!!!

Many of the Skyliners from that year where members of St. Rocco's Cadets! I too was to march with the Skyliners that year, But I after making the drumline, signed with a Record Company.....

The drill was always a problem for NYC Drum Corps, because there were no fields to practice on....

We all practiced in Armories that were too small to truly work on the drill! So NYC corps where none for there sound! And that sound thanks to Hy and Eric was the very best in Drum Corps!
HD....

I was a 21 year old Cabalerro in 1972, I remember a number of things vividly about the Skyliners, that wall of sound and power that came at you, I also remember that they couldn't march or keep a straight line. They thought the season was over in August. Jimmy Costello kept pounding us into the ground making us march like Marines. At the end Performance, Execution, GE and Marching beat them.
