Drum Corps Historical Society

Why does the term "Color Guard" appear on the recap sheet ?
There is not a color guard in DCI in the true sense of the word !
What we see on the field is a Theatrical Ballet Flag Corps.
The American Flag is non existant on the field of competition.

I never quite understood for the removal of the American flag from the field and allow the dance ensamble tha they still call a color guard change to a different uniform. You change the uniform , you should also the name of the dancers.

Many people commenting on FaceBook Drum Corps apparently are of the same opinion. What can we do to see a change on the caption sheet for "color guard" as well as for "front ensemble " ?
